Lillian enjoyed sitting on the bench at Grandpa and Grandma’s House. I like how the second picture looks like she is having a conversation with someone.
More pictures are here.
Grandpa and Grandma came up here last weekend to visit. They brought us delicious veggies from their garden, of which we used some of the zucchini for lunch. Lillian had a fun time with them as she always does.
Here are a few more pictures.
The annual Baylor family wiener roast was a few weekends ago. We were afraid that the day would be incredibly hot but it really wasn’t too bad. I think all of the trees that Phil and Sue have helped a ton.
Part of Sue’s side of the family was able to make it.
Now to the Baylor side…the cousin’s are all grown up now.
Phil’s brother, Ken, and his wife, Sue. Unfortunately, not all of the pictures turned out so we don’t have a picture of everyone.
Grandma and Steve enjoying the weather.
A few friends were able to join us as well.
Bill and Tanya’s kids, Brady and Lauren.
We had a water balloon fight and Mark gave Lillian one to play with. He put a small hole in it to see how she would react. She got a kick out of it and wasn’t always sure what to think when the water would go in her face.
Dorene and Jeff had a marshmallow cooking contest. Dorene won but they both enjoyed the end result of smores.
I think everyone enjoyed themselves and we hope to have the whole family here next year.

We spent the 4th of July weekend at Phil and Sue’s house. A majority of the time we were outside playing. Hank and Lillian really enjoyed being outside and Hank was very tolerant of Lillian. Lillian found a stick to play with that was just her size. She sometimes doesn’t know what to think of Hank and I think the feeling is mutual. He is either licking her like crazy or moving so he doesn’t have to be around her.
Lillian started pushing herself to standing. She also was trying to catch Hank but he didn’t think that was a good idea. Something must have been pretty funny or she might have been yelling.
Grandpa and Lillian decided to play bags. I think Lillian won. She was very good at putting the bags in the hole and just as good at pulling them back out.
Not shown in the pictures, but after awhile she decided that climbing on the board would be more fun than playing with the bags.
Uncle Jeff was also there to visit.
Hank relaxing like a good dog.
The rest of the bags game pictures are here.
Lillian got to ride the tractor with Grandpa. She really enjoyed herself and was giggling part of the time.
Grandpa let her play with the steering wheel when they weren’t moving.
Here is a video of them on the tractor:
We drove down to my Uncle and Aunt’s house for my cousin Shane’s high school graduation party. My family was still there so we got to see them one last time before they went back to Illinois.
A few pictures of Lillian and I enjoying the party.
Shane is on the left and aunt Lila is in the middle. I am terrible and can’t remember the lady’s name that is on the left, but I am pretty sure that she is Lila’s cousin.
The picture on the left is my brother Josh and of course Lillian on the right. Josh also graduated from high school this year but unfortunately we weren’t able to make it to his graduation or party, so it was nice to have him come up here for Lillian’s party and the few days after.
Daddy and Lillian and then Shane.
The party was mainly outside and the forecast was for a high in the 80’s but it turned out to be in the 60’s, so much colder than we thought. This picture is of Josh, Lila, my mom, Lillian, and I, and my sister Kaitlin.
We had to go inside because it was getting to be too chilly so Josh got out his guitar and played for us. He is actually a drummer but has started to also play the guitar.
Here are other pictures from the party.
We went to Sharon and Wayne’s house on the Saturday before Mother’s Day.
Lillian had to show off the bunny (I think) that she found. She found many things to get into while crawling around.
Patsy flew down from Alaska to surprise Grandma for Mother’s Day. It turned out perfectly!!
Grandma was able to spend Mother’s Day with all four of her kids.
Grandma opening her gift from the kids and Sue opening hers from the boys.
Lillian refused to sleep in the pack n’ play so when she finally fell asleep in my arms I just let her sleep.
You can’t fully tell from the two pictures but they were taken right after each other. Lillian is looking at Grandma and Grandma looking at Lillian.
She also go to spend time with uncle Jeff and her Grandma (as well as everyone else that was able to come). We didn’t get a picture, but when Phil and Sue arrived I took Lillian to the big picture window. She got so excited when she saw Grandma and Grandpa coming, she was kicking her legs in excitement.
Here are the rest of the pictures.
Last weekend we went down to Phil and Sue’s House for a visit. Lillian absolutely loves Hank but I think Hank is still getting used to having her around.
Hank was missing Lillian while she was taking a nap.
He wasn’t sure what he could do with her when she was awake though. Sometimes he wanted right in her face and other times he didn’t want to have anything to do with her. The second we would put Lillian on the floor to play she would crawl over to Hank; she knew that she wanted to play.
When she was on the floor at eye level or below is when he wasn’t so sure he liked having her around. I think they will be best of friends in a few years though.
There is a nice park about a block away from Jeff’s house, so on Sunday after breakfast we decided to walk there. Lillian got to go down the slide and through the tunnel with Daddy but seemed to enjoy swinging the most.
Dorene and Sue even enjoyed the park equipment.
Lillian also swung and played at the bottom of the slide with Mommy.
The sun was out and the temperature was perfect for a fun time at the park.
Lillian got a new book for Easter from Jeff and Dorene. She loves it and seems to choose it over her other toys right now. She turns the pages, chews on it, and points to items in the book. While at Jeff’s house, Grandpa read her the book a few times.
Here are the other pictures.
