July 2004 Entries

This is going to be short because it's late. Jeff, Mark, and I went on a bike ride tonight. It was about 9 miles. This weekend was a blast! Turkey Run was more fun than I remember. We hiked for 5 hours then afterwards we stopped at Monical's Pizza. We don't have one up here so Mark and I try to eat it when we are visiting my parents. On Sunday we had the Stinde family reunion, which is my mom's mom's side. (confusing I know) Ashley got a new puppy and it is adorable. It makes me want to get a puppy, but we aren't allowed to have one so that is probably a good thing. :) After the reunion we came back home and went to Mark's parent's house because his Grandma was there. We ate dinner then played wiffle ball, frisbee, and football. So this weekend was an exciting weekend of exercise!!
It has been a while since I have written a blog, so I will enlighten you. This past weekend April and I had a fun time. On Saturday my parents and my brother came out and we went on a bike ride in Rock Cut. My mom and dad decided to go home, so Jeff, April, and I went for a longer ride. We ended up going on a 13.1 mile ride. It was a perfect day. Then on Sunday April and I went to the Wisconsin Dells and went to Waterworld (we had free tickets), played 18 holes of mini golf(had a free ticket there), and then ate at a great restaurant called Moosejaw. The restaurant was a 3 story pizza joint with a microbrewery built in. It had a great atmosphere. It was nice to get away from Rockford. April and I went biking again yesterday (Tues) and did about a 10 mile ride. It felt really good to get out there on the trails. I really want to go today, but the weather does not appear to want to cooperate. There is thunder, but no rain YET. Anyways, there isn't much more that is new. Another one of our beloved fish died. Poor swordtail.
The fourth of July was fun, but they shot the fireworks off from a different spot so we couldn't see them very well. During the day we went to Mark's parent's house for a cook out. It was a lot of fun!!! We play wiffle ball, cooked hot dogs on the fire, and just enjoyed hanging out. After the fireworks Michelle, Drew, LeAnne, Aaron, Goat, Mark, and I went back to the apartment to hang out. It was nice seeing Michelle again. She only lives in Chicago, but for some reason we don't see her all that often. We really need to change that. On Sunday, if rain permits, we are going to go to the Wisconsin Dells because Tia (a girl I work with) got free passes. If anyone wants to go she said she has some more. Mark just scared the crap out of me. I jumped and screamed!! HAHA Then I was laughing so hard that I started to cry. oh goodness!
