October 2004 Entries
I'm sad because no one is coming here to trick-or-treat. Oh well! On a good note, we got four more gourami's for our fish tank. Two of which are snake skin gourami's and two are pearl gourami's. They are neat looking. At first we thought that our moonlight gourami was going to attack the others but after a few hours together in the tank they settled down. I am now finished training for customer service. Starting tomorrow I will be back at the East State Branch. I am ready to be back there because I really like everyone there. Melanie left though because her and her husband found a house in Morrison, IL. I'm kind of sad about that. I have been able to straighten my hair pretty well ever since I got it cut. Of course my hair dresser did a better job, but at least it doesn't look horrible when I do it. :) Have a wonderful Halloween!!
Things are finally starting to go a little smoother at Woods and I have settled in a bit more. April got her hair cut tonight and surprised me because when she got home it was completely straight. It looks really cute. I think she is depressed because it is hard for her to straighten her hair and she likes it straight. Anyways, other than those 2 small things, everything is about the same. We are probably going over to my parent's house this week to help take cabinets out to prepare for their new kitchen. The LiveStrong Lance Armostrong bracelets finally came in.
I wanted to write a blog to test out the new smiley codes. Mark added them so that we could put how we were feeling at the time we wrote the blog. I did not have to work today which was really nice. I am trying something out for dinner so hopefully Mark and I like it. We have to go grocery shopping tonight, so besides cleaning, watching tv, and talking to Mark I have been trying to think of things that we need to get. We rearranged the living room so it seems like we have a lot more space.
Hi yall. Things have been going well lately at work and at home. This weekend we helped my parents pick out a countertop for their new kitchen and we spent a good portion of Sunday cleaning our garage. We decided to hang our bikes up on the wall to save floor space and so they don't fall over and hit my car. That would not be good. The biking season is coming to a close, which is sad. We didn't even go biking once this weekend because we decided to go on an apartment cleaning rampage. As a matter of fact, April is home for Columbus day today and is cleaning the office. We just needed to get organized. We are probably going to start looking for houses in January, because we started out lease in March of this year. We are hoping to find a good sized house in a good location with a yard that allows expansion in the future. I was very close to buying a home before, but decided to wait it out at the last second. Well anyways, I have to save some information for the next blog (actually there really isn't much more!)
I am working at the Rockton Ave. branch for the month of October in order to learn the customer service side of my job. I am enjoying it but am still getting comfortable with it. The hardest part is to remember all of the specifics about each type of account. I have found out even more than I did before that we have some interesting people in this world. Tonight Mark and I are going over to Mark's Parent's house to help them decide on cabinets for their kitchen. It's about time to get to work. Have a wonderful day!
I thought that I would take the liberty to write the first blog entry of this month. Don't I feel special. Things are about the same. April and I are having a big New Year's Eve gala at our penthouse. It is going to be a BYOB party that will be hard to forget. April and I also moved the apartment around and we like the change. (I know what you are thinking...I am talking about moving furniture aorund...what an uneventful life...if you said that to yourself, you are not all wrong!) If you are interested in coming to the party, please contact April or I by e-mail in the "Contact Us" section. We would love for everyone to come. Woods is getting more like a corporate job, lots of work and not much time to do it in. Anyways, no complaints by me yet! Later everyone.
