December 2004 Entries

Well, Christmas is right around the corner, which means fellowship and time off of work.  Things at Woods are stressful, but still great as ever.  I get to take a 6 day vacation and then around New Years I get another day off.

So are you coming to the New Years party?  No real need to RSVP, but we ask you show up around 7:30.  We will be serving some food and snacks.  We ask that you BYOB.

April and I have figured out our new camera a little more.  We are still in the learning process of taking some pictures.  We are also trying to learn how to take pictures of fish in an aquarium.  It's much more difficult than it sounds.

I can't wait to give everyone their gifts.  We got some good ones this year.

April and I are going to celebrate Christmas early this year with my family.  Should be fun.  I am really excited to take a much needed break.

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to everyone!

Mark and I have all of our Christmas shopping done and wrapped except the gifts for each other and Mark has one thing for the exchange.  Today we cleaned the apartment and finished wrapping all of the gifts.  We played Christmas music while doing both so that we could get into the Christmas spirit even more.  The last time we went grocery shopping we bought a lot of items that we would need for Christmas sweets.  So far we have made chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, chocolate chip pecan cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, and fudge.  I am getting really excited for Christmas.  I have to work on Christmas Eve until 12 so directly after that I am going to my parent's house and I will come back on Sunday the 26th.  It should be a lot of fun.  I know that Mom is going to make ham and all of the fixins'.  Have a Wonderful Christmas!!
My new camera came in last night and it was everything that I was expecting. A great quality camera indeed. The only problem is that I want to get outside to take some pictures when it is light out, but it's hard to do that. When it's light I am work, and when I get home it is dark. Plus it is dark in the morning before work.

So until it gets light at night again (closer to summer time), I will be forced to shoot on the weekends. Doh!

I see that April and I have been slacking off a lot, so I thought that I would write a blog to keep things interesting.  April and I have got about half of our shopping done, and we have all of our Christmas decorations up.

Alright, I can't hold it in any longer.  I ordered my new digital camera.  I ultimately decided on the Nikon D70 and it should be in my paws tomorrow evening.  I can't even tell you how excited I am to get out and take some photos.

Here is the beast!
