Last weekend we went to Milwaukee's Mitchell Domes. There are three domes in which one is arid, tropical, and floral.
The floral one had a few trains set up in between all of the different flowers.
The arid one had many different types of cacti. We were even able to see what the agave plant looks like. The story behind the agave plant is that we made a mexican meal for Phil, Sue, Bill, and Tanya. We got tequila and were wondering what it was made from. We discovered that it was the agave plant but had never heard of it before.
The tropical dome, my favorite, had a banana plant, avocado tree, pomello tree (very similar to grapefruit), cocoa, and many other food plants and trees.
We took a lot of pictures so go here to check them out.
We also drove along the lake and other areas of Milwaukee, but did not take any pictures.
